On the afternoon of May 6, 2023, Shen, Xiaoming, the Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, visited Changde Cospowers New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. for investigation. Shan Hui, president of Cospowers, warmly received him and accompanied him to visit and investigate.

The research team first visited the exhibition hall of Cospowers, and had a detailed understanding of the enterprise's development history, project construction, scientific and technological innovation achievements, globalization layout, high-quality development status and other aspects. Shan Hui, president of Cospowers, presented to the research group with new energy storage products such as battery cell, electric energy storage, household storage and intelligent lithium battery.

After visiting the exhibition hall, the research group visited Cospowers’ Research Institute. President Shan Hui made a detailed introduction to the research group on the scientific research status of Cospowers, the transformation of industry-university-research results and other aspects, and expressed the development strategy of continuing to improve the R&D strength, collaborative innovation, and continuous breakthrough in key technologies.

In 2022, the total revenue of Hunan's new energy industry exceeded 400 billion yuan, which has gradually become an important pillar for Hunan to promote the strategic construction of "three high and four new". In recent years, in order to accelerate the development of new energy industry in Hunan Province, Hunan Province has introduced a number of policies and measures without stopping. Changde Cospowers has benefited from various favorable policies. The first phase of Changde Plant was put into operation in 2021. The second phase of the plant is well under way and is expected to open in 2024.

Afterwards, the research group went to Cospowers intelligent manufacturing plant of cells and visited intelligent high-speed LFP laminated cell production line. Modern automation equipment is the key to capacity supply. Cospowers’ production line has a total of 47 processes. The production data is tracked from laying-off to finished product. 2500+ key quality process control points are monitored online in real time. By automatic control, the workers are reduced by 80%.

At the last stop, the research group came to Cospowers’ scene laboratory. Here, the authoritative standards at home and abroad will be required to simulate the application of products in various extreme environments, to ensure the safety and quality of products.

Shen, Xiaoming affirmed the achievements of talent construction and innovation development of Cospowers and pointed out that "We should further improve the automation level of key equipment and materials, firmly grasp the core technology and major equipment in our own hands, seize the valuable opportunities with broad prospects in the energy storage market, strengthen scientific and technological breakthroughs and achievements transformation, expand product application scenarios, and constantly enhance the market competitiveness."
