China Energy Storage network: In the morning of July 25, the "ninth China energy storage industry tour Research group" jointly organized by China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association Energy Storage Application Branch, and China Energy Storage Network went into Dongying Kenli Hongtai 40MW PV power station. According to the schedule of the day, the expert group first visited Kenli Hongtai 40MW PV power station in Dongying, and then the two sides had an exchange discussion.

Project Context

Dongying Kenli Hongtai 40MW PV power Station is one of the 19 projects in the Letter of Opinions on the Proposed Bidding Photovoltaic Projects in 2020 issued by State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company in June 2020. According to the commitment of the declared project, the energy storage configuration scale is 20% of the installed scale of the project, the energy storage time is 2 hours, and the energy storage project and PV power station are synchronously constructed in stages.

Status of the project

Dongying Kenli Hongtai 40MW photovoltaic power station is located in the territory of Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone, south of Yonghong Road, east of Dong Ba Road and north of Liushihu Village.

40MW fishing-light complementary power station

The project is invested and built by Dongying Caijin Clean Energy Co., Ltd. The power station is located in Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone. The designed installed capacity is 40MW, the planned area is 1200 mu, and the construction investment is 170 million Yuan. The full capacity was connected to the grid on December 31, 2020.

The construction area of the power station is the water level of pond and adopts the complementary operation mode of fishing and light. The PV field area is divided into 11 power generation units, consisting of 11 groups of 3.15MW photovoltaic arrays. A total of 44200 single-crystal double-glass high-efficiency 455Wp solar cell modules and 44252 450Wp solar cell modules are installed using PHC prefabricated pipe piles and fixed supports. The main electrical facilities and equipment are equipped with advanced technology, functional matching and efficient operation of inverter booster machine, energy storage, reactive power compensation, ground transformer, PT cabinet, 35kV switchgear, plant transformer and electrical secondary equipment, dispatching automation device, etc. Two loops of 35kV collecting lines and one loop of 35kV sending line are set, which are connected to Linhai 110kV substation to realize grid connection with Dongying city through 9.8km overhead cable.

Dongying Cospowers Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as Kunyu Power) energy storage device is adopted for the energy storage power distribution unit of this project.  The total capacity of the supporting energy storage power station is 8MW/16MWh, which consists of 3 2.5MW/5MWh energy storage sub-units, 1 0.5MW/1MWh energy storage sub-unit, and 1 set of energy management system. Each energy storage sub-unit consists of energy storage battery system, energy storage bidirectional converter and booster cabin system.

Switch station layout mainly includes reactive power compensation, grounding transformer, PT cabinet, 35kV switchgear, plant transformer and electrical secondary equipment, etc. The switch station adopts prefabricated cabin layout, 35kV switchgear is arranged in the primary cabin, and secondary equipment is arranged in the secondary cabin.

Line and outlet interval layout: mainly includes 35kV transmission line, 35kV distribution equipment, relay protection device, high automation device, etc. The switch station is equipped with 1 loop of 35kV transmission line, and the terminal point is Linhai 110kV substation. The total length of 35kV line is about 9.8km, including 9.0km overhead line and 0.8km buried cable. 2JL/G1A-240 wire is adopted, and 2 24-core OPGW optical cables are set up in the same tower.微信图片_20220808091907.jpg

Project value

The project mode is the joint operation of PV + energy storage on the power generation side, which can not only respond to the grid peak and frequency modulation auxiliary business with local resource endowment, alleviate the power shortage during peak period, but also form an advanced demonstration effect with PV + energy storage mode.

Each year, the power station sends 53.5249 million kWh of clean energy electricity, achieving a benefit of 6.3 million Yuan; It can save 15,255 tons of standard coal, reduce the emission of SO 2171.3 tons, CO 242,400 tons, NO 2155 tons and dust 53.5 tons, which has obvious economic and social benefits.

Energy storage construction

Cospowers, as the solution provider and system integrator of this project, is responsible for the design, AC side integration and field debugging of the whole system of the project. At the same time, it provides BMS, main control box, monitoring cabinet, energy management system and other independently researched and developed core equipment. Significance of the project

After the project is put into operation, the energy storage system device can reduce the amount of light abandoned power for the photovoltaic power station, increase the revenue of the PV power station, realize the adjustable and controllable new energy generation, and thus improve the stability of the power system. At the same time, energy storage system can provide peak regulation, frequency modulation, demand response support and other services for power grid operation, which is an important means to improve the flexibility, economy and security of traditional power system.
