To further build industrial consensus and promote high-quality, synergistic development across the supply chain, on April 23, a delegation led by Tu Zhijia, Executive Secretary-General of the Hunan Battery Industry Association, visited COSPOWERS’s Changde facility for a special inspection. The visit aimed to closely align industry resources with the company’s actual development and discuss innovative pathways for the energy storage sector.

During the symposium, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions around four core topics: core technology iteration, international market expansion, sodium battery industrialization, and policy project applications. They openly shared cutting-edge industry trends and practical corporate experiences. The association learned in detail about COSPOWERS’s breakthrough achievements in key technology areas such as energy storage battery safety protection, liquid cooling system integration, and extreme-environment adaptability, with particular focus on the progress of its sodium-ion battery industrialization.
As one of the first units in China to pass the sodium-ion battery assessment, COSPOWERS is deeply involved in the 2025 Hunan Provincial Top Ten Technological Breakthroughs project — “Wide-Temperature-Range High-Performance Sodium-Ion Batteries.” Focusing on extreme-environment application requirements, the company’s self-developed sodium batteries feature core advantages including “stable operation across an ultra-wide temperature range from -40°C to 60°C, ultra-long cycle life exceeding 10,000 cycles, and multi-layered safety protection.” These capabilities make them perfectly suited for complex conditions such as severe cold and high heat, with technical indicators reaching industry-leading levels.

On the industrialization front, COSPOWERS has taken the lead in strategic implementation. The first sodium-ion battery production line in Hunan Province, with a total investment of RMB 200 million and an annual capacity of 1.5 GWh, officially entered mass production at the Changde base in September 2025. The products have now entered large-scale commercial application, successfully winning the bid for China Tower’s Gansu smart sodium battery pilot project. They are also operating stably in nearly one hundred communication base stations in extremely cold high-latitude regions such as Heilongjiang and Gansu, as well as in the photovoltaic project at Ningxia Mobile Data Center, providing reliable energy supply in extreme environments. The association highly recognized the company’s forward-looking strategic deployment in sodium battery capacity expansion, smart manufacturing upgrades, and industrial chain synergy, leveraging the Changde intelligent manufacturing base.
Secretary-General Tu Zhijia noted that the energy storage industry is currently in a golden period of development driven by both favorable policies and market demand. The association will continue to act as a bridge, precisely aligning with corporate development needs, and provide comprehensive enabling services in policy interpretation, standard setting, resource integration, and supply chain coordination to help companies overcome growth bottlenecks and seize market opportunities.
This inspection and exchange not only fully affirmed COSPOWERS’s development strength but also provided an important opportunity for the company to deepen industrial synergy and broaden its development horizon. Looking ahead, COSPOWERS will remain true to its commitment to technological innovation, focus on its core energy storage domain, and strengthen collaboration with industry associations and supply chain partners to empower the global green energy transition with better products and solutions.
