November 13, Changsha – The 2025 China Institute of Communications (CIC) Information and Communication Energy Academic Forum was grandly held in Changsha. As a leading enterprise in the field of communication energy storage, COSPOWERS was invited to participate, joining industry experts from across the country to discuss innovation pathways and safety development in energy technology.

The CIC, a highly authoritative academic organization in China's information and communication sector, has long been committed to promoting technological progress within the industry and building bridges for high-end academic exchange, bringing together core strengths from industry, academia, research, and application sectors. This forum focused on core topics such as "Innovation, Energy Saving, Environmental Protection, Intelligence, and Safety," attracting over a hundred representatives from operators, equipment manufacturers, and research institutions. Mr. Lu Yaoyan, R&D Director of Site Power at COSPOWERS, delivered a keynote speech titled "Research and Application of Safety Early Warning Technology for Lithium Battery Systems Based on an Intelligent Cloud Platform." He systematically introduced COSPOWERS's technological breakthroughs and practical achievements in the safety management of site energy storage batteries for telecommunications infrastructure.
In his speech, Mr. Lu Yaoyan pointed out that the safety management of energy storage systems for base station sites still faces severe challenges. Traditional operation and maintenance models rely on manual inspections, which are not only inefficient and slow to respond but also struggle to detect subtle potential abnormalities during battery operation. In most cases, the system can only take action after a fault becomes apparent, often missing the optimal window for intervention. Especially in high-value scenarios like data centers and core equipment rooms, a single thermal runaway event can cause irreversible losses. To solve this industry-wide challenge, COSPOWERS deeply integrates cloud computing, big data, and battery management technologies to build a full-link safety early warning system—the COSPOWERS Intelligent Cloud Platform—spanning from front-end perception to cloud-based decision-making. This promotes the industry's comprehensive transition from the traditional "passive response" model to a new stage of "active early warning and intelligent protection."

The core capability of the COSPOWERS Intelligent Cloud Platform is demonstrated in its closed-loop mechanism of "early detection, early warning, and early intervention." Mr. Lu explained that the platform achieves 24/7 real-time collection of multi-dimensional parameters such as voltage, current, temperature, and pressure by deploying a network of high-precision sensors within the battery packs. After encrypted transmission to the cloud, the data is analyzed by intelligent algorithms trained using machine learning. Unlike traditional single-parameter monitoring, this platform employs a multi-parameter fusion model, enabling it to accurately identify potential risks like battery degradation and local overheating. It can even trigger warnings during early abnormal stages, such as the occurrence of micro-shorts within a cell, moving the safety protection threshold forward to the "budding stage of thermal runaway."

Beyond precise early warning, the Intelligent Cloud Platform also possesses full lifecycle management capabilities. Mr. Lu further indicated that the platform not only enables real-time monitoring but also assesses battery health status and predicts remaining useful life based on vast amounts of operational data. This assists operators in scientifically formulating maintenance and replacement plans, thereby avoiding resource waste. Currently, this technology has been successfully applied in several core scenarios, including communication base stations, data center energy storage, and emergency power supply systems, earning widespread recognition from industry customers for its stable and reliable performance.
The exchanges and sharing at this forum further demonstrated COSPOWERS's technical strength in the field of lithium battery safety and provided important references for the safety upgrade of information and communication energy systems. In the future, COSPOWERS will continue to increase R&D investment, using technological innovation to build a solid safety foundation. It aims to provide more efficient, greener, and more economical energy solutions for communication networks in the 5G-A era, working hand-in-hand with industry partners to build a new "Zero-Carbon Communication" ecosystem.
